Quarantine

Pandemic world
is not mine
although I drift with it
with mask on my face
through surroundings
possessed by the springtime

Isolated
I cannot smell the flowers
I am not enjoying
virtual paradise walk
just around the corner
of my seclusion

IZABELA ZUBKO – poetess, journalist and translator. She is an author of 11 volumes of poetry. Her poems were published in many newspapers in Poland and abroad. They can be found in many anthologies, too. Izabela Zubko is a winner of numerous poetry competitions. She is a member of: the Union of Polish Writers (ZLP) and the Association of Culture (WSTK). She was awarded Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture (2017) by Ministry of Culture, National Heritage of the Republic of Poland and with the Bronze Cross of Merit (2018).
