“I was in India till very recently and saw the covid crisis unfolding in front of my own eyes. The pain everyone was going through was unbearable. We tried to bring people together to donate some oxygen concentrators. But in our hearts, that was not enough. We knew we could do more.” says Dr. Ashish Gupta, MD, co-founder of MDhelponline.com.

“Watching COVID creep into the homes of our friends and families in India was heartbreaking. We left our country, but our hearts beat for our motherland. Being a physician from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, I have seen suffering very closely. But thinking of our own people getting so gravely affected by COVID was so much more devastating. MD help online is more like our calling and has now become our passion.”: says Dr. Akanksha Gupta, MD, co-founder of MDHelpOnline.com.

MDhelponline.com is a website created to give free COVID and Non-COVID medical advice by expert doctors of the USA and India, exclusively to Indian patients during COVID times.

“We wanted to penetrate to rural areas with limited medical help. Hence, we also started a Telegram group and added a feature of being able to reply in all languages via both Telegram and website. We started with a few of our expert physician colleagues, and now we have almost 70 doctors both from the US and India covering most specialties, including physicians trained at very prestigious places like Harvard, Brown, and Yale” says Dr. Ashish Gupta, who was himself trained at Brown University.
